A tree trimmer with a chainsaw in an Alexander Avenue backyard sends a shower of sawdust through the air, clearing the way for the linemen to make repairs to the power lines
Arriving at the now -dry bed of the Pearl River tributary, to repair downed lines servicing individual houses and running through the backyards of a row of residences between Macopin and Alexander avenues Monday afternoon, a team of Arkansas Entergy linemen bide their time until the dozen Tree, Inc. trimmers from Atlanta clear the limbs and timber from the wires they need to repair.
Teams of 300 Entergy linemen from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas converged on the area this week to restore service to the area after superstorm Sandy delivered it's Halloween trick. Neighborhood residents left an impression on crewmembers, as one remarked, "Montclair people have been very nice, they've been great."
Another Arkansas linemen commented from amidst the tree limbs in his bucket truck , "So this is what a nor'easter looks like, I've heard about them but never saw what one could do before."
