Caption: Some of the volunteers of the Jefferson Arts Committee met last week to put the finishing touches on twelve very special packages to residents now serving in Afghanistan. Called "Operation Enduring Freedom", the committee has collected items and donations all summer and fall as a way for the servicemen's home town to show their support. With attention to detail, the solders will find a touch of Jefferson in the boxes and a wish for their safe return, as messages are inserted into the boxes as well. (PHOTO - ANTHONY LAWSON)
