Caption: For weeks before the storm a fleet of bucket trucks were being parked overnight in the Pathmark lot on Route 15. They were in town to trim limbs threatening power lines, but Hurricane Sandy proved their efforts weak as whole trees, not just limbs, brought the utility to its knees for over a week throughout Jefferson. With a tower from the controversial Roseland power line in the background, the buckets seem to be saluting it as they wait the next day's work. (PHOTO - ANTHONY LAWSON)
