The Commerce Court Compost Storage Facility in Verona is filled with storm debris and since 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, Dec. 11, Rich Malone of the Verona Public Works uses the front loader to move more than 2,000 cubic yards so they can feed the big chipper, “The Beast,” and reduce the logs, limbs and stumps to mulch. Assistant Supervisor George Zehnder stops by to check on Malone’s progress just before noon.
