In Montclair, an AR 15 seni-automatic, at front center, similar to the weapon used in Newtown, was surrendered during the Gun Amnesty Program last week.
Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa said 95% of the guns turned in are operable, during the Gun Amnesty program in Essex County, last week netting over 1770 guns, on display at the press conference in Newark Tuesday morning. The Montclair program netted more 716 of the weapons, almost half, at an average of $136/per gun.
